Gideon headed up several Correctional Institutions during his 22 years of employ within the Department of Correctional Services. During this time, he completed his Hons BA degree (1985) and successfully attended several managerial, leadership and other senior related courses. In 1996 he joined an IT company (Execusys), specializing in Medical administration systems, and in 1998 he was appointed as the Managing Director of LUCRAMED, a Practice Management Solution provider. During 1999/ 2000 after a series of acquisitions of practice management solutions by the Bytes Technology Group of Companies, he was appointed Managing Director of Med-e-Mass (Pty) Ltd, the largest and leading Practice Management Solutions company within Southern Africa.
